Overview

Host Ledger connects to QuickBooks Online to post your payout transactions and sync your chart of accounts, classes, and vendors.
You’ll connect QuickBooks during onboarding when you first set up Host Ledger. The instructions below are for managing your connection after initial setup.

Setup

1

Open Settings

Click the gear icon in the Host Ledger dashboard, then go to Integrations.
2

Connect QuickBooks

Click Connect QuickBooks. You’ll be redirected to Intuit’s authorization page.
3

Authorize access

Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account and authorize Host Ledger. Once complete, you’ll be redirected back to Host Ledger and the connection will show as active.
4

Automatic sync

Host Ledger immediately syncs your QuickBooks data:
  • Accounts — your chart of accounts (used for account mappings)
  • Classes — for per-property P&L tracking (optional)
  • Vendors — for OTA vendor mappings on deposits

Reconnecting

If your QuickBooks connection expires or is revoked:
  1. Click the gear icon and go to Integrations
  2. Click Reconnect next to QuickBooks
  3. Complete the authorization flow again
When your QuickBooks connection expires, payouts will fail to post with an authentication error. Reconnect promptly to resume posting.

Syncing QuickBooks data

Host Ledger syncs your accounts, classes, and vendors automatically when you connect. If you’ve added new accounts or classes in QuickBooks and need them in Host Ledger:
  1. Click the gear icon and go to Integrations
  2. Click Sync next to your QuickBooks connection

Troubleshooting

QuickBooks tokens expire periodically. Go to Integrations and click Reconnect to re-authorize.
If recently-added QuickBooks accounts don’t appear, trigger a manual sync from Integrations.
Ensure all required account and vendor mappings are configured. Check that the mapped accounts still exist and are active in QuickBooks.
