Overview

Host Ledger supports payout CSVs from Airbnb, VRBO, and Booking.com. Each platform has quirks that affect how payouts are categorized — knowing these helps when something looks off.

Airbnb

Standard payout structure. CSV includes a full breakdown: accommodation, cleaning fees, host service fee, occupancy tax, adjustments, and resolution payouts. No platform-specific quirks to account for.

VRBO

Discounts are netted into accommodation. VRBO folds any discounts directly into the accommodation amount rather than listing them separately. This is expected — Host Ledger doesn’t create a separate discount line item. Split payouts are handled automatically. If VRBO sends multiple disbursements for a single reservation, Host Ledger reconciles them as a single payout. Adjustment lump sums. VRBO occasionally bundles multiple corrections into a single adjustment payout. These post as a simple two-line entry against your adjustment account.

Booking.com

Host service fees are billed separately. Unlike Airbnb and VRBO, Booking.com invoices host service fees independently — they’re not deducted from your payout. Host Ledger skips the host service fee line for Booking.com deposits, which is why your payout total won’t reflect that fee.
